WHY WOULD I GET RE-GROUTING DONE?

Reasons you would get regrouting done:

- Old grout is cracking

- Grout has mould

- Silicone is peeling away or mouldy

- The shower is leaking

- Discolouration in grout and silicone

- To give your bathroom/shower/kitchen a new life at half the cost of a full renovation

All this can be fixed using epoxy grout and one of the best silicones on the market. All of the above are a common issue with using cement base grout, which absorbs the water due to its cementitious powder mix.

Epoxy grout is extremely durable and waterproof as well as almost completely stainproof. Stains and mould will not penetrate epoxy grout.

For cleaning, we recommend using a steam cleaner or a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water with a gentle sponge. This can effectively remove grime and hard water without being abrasive to the tiles or grout. It's best to avoid acidic and bleach-based products as they can damage the finish and affect the grout bonding.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY NEW GROUT AND SILICONE?

Over time, white grout may become yellowed due to various environmental factors, including hard water and calcium, cleaning and maintenance, exposure to sunlight, and the use of abrasive cleaners. Wiping the shower down after use can help prevent discoloration by inhibiting the growth of mildew and mold on the surface.
